DUBAI – For Onood Galadari, every day on the job with the national airline Emirates is a new adventure. As a retail services specialist, she gets to do what she loves, designing in-flight experiences, bringing fresh products on board, and even working on the Emirates in-flight magazine. But when she looks back on her journey, she knows it all began at the College of Communication and Media Sciences.
“Joining CCMS was a huge step forward for me,” Galadari says. “It wasn’t just about classes and assignments. CCMS was where I learned to adapt to challenges, find my voice, and bring my ideas to life.”
She talks about the hands-on projects and real-world experiences that helped her feel prepared, not just for her job but for the kind of person she wanted to become.
“It was also where I met incredible mentors and friends who helped me shape my journey,” she adds with a smile.
What makes CCMS special, she says, is that it doesn’t stop at academics.
“It empowers you both personally and professionally,” Galadari says. “It gave me the confidence to go after what I love, and it opened doors I didn’t know were possible.”
For anyone considering CCMS or just starting their journey, Garadari’s message is simple: Go for it.
“I’m truly grateful for the experiences and connections I made there, and I wish all the best to anyone starting their own path,” she says.
With that, Onood Galadari is a living example of how CCMS alumni aren’t just ready for the industry, they’re ready to succeed.
