SHARJAH – Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Center (JRCC) was inaugurated in Sharjah February last year. The center, which was founded by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, hosts multiple occasions ranging from formal conferences, exhibitions and meetings, to personal weddings, birthdays and even funerals. It offers a high quality service that caters to clients’ needs for both individuals as well as corporations.

With its strategic location that is a few meters away from Sharjah International Airport, the center is easily accessible to residents of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, other emirates and around the globe.

The 140 million center is one of the first event hosting establishments and the only one in Sharjah. Since its grand opening in February 2013, the center have received more than 80 bookings. This simply indicates the pressing need for quality venues in the emirate.

The director of JRCC, Hanan Al Mahmoud, stated that: “Residents of Sharjah need a place to celebrate. Usually, they go all the way to Dubai or other emirates just to find a place that offers facilities to set up their own weddings and celebrations. There is hardly such a place here in Sharjah. This is the reason why JRCC was established. ”

Al Mahmoud also indicated that the center is already competing in the market, being a member of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions).

The total size of the halls Almas, Yaqout and Zumurrud accounts for 5,500 square meters, which is more than enough to welcome thousands of guests.

To have an unforgettable experience, facilities such as catering, LED technology, soundproof system and lighting are supplied.

Guests can socialize and enjoy the atmosphere in the foyers prior to entering the halls.

If married couples are considering JRCC, the convention center offers luxurious Durrah and Aasdaf suites including, majlis, cloak rooms and private gardens.

This year, the center hosted an event by Family Development Center titled “Lead a family. Lead a nation” that discussed the importance of family leadership and the right practices to rear children.
