ABU DHABI — Finally, a unique restaurant opens its doors in Bani Yas, Abu Dhabi. Yes, Broadway Breakfast and Burgers is located approximately five minutes away from Bawabat Al Sharq Mall on 43th Street in Bani Yas.
“There is nothing like this in Bani Yas — elegant, American and different,“ said Mohammed Mahgoub, the founder.
When you walk through the restaurant’s doors, you will see Kazakhs, Moroccans, Egyptians, Russians and Italians. These are the nationalities of Mr. Mahgoub’s diverse staff. When I asked the founder the reason behind this diversity, he said: “To give the people a variety of services, hospitality and professionalism than what they are used to.”
The atmosphere at Broadway is “comfortable, homey and a good vibe,” said Mr. Mahgoub, and that’s what you get.
The restaurant is divided into several sections. The entrance gives off a relaxing café vibe where sunlight passes through the clear and orange glass. The second section is more family friendly. There you can have a degree of privacy in comfy bench style seating.
Their most popular ordered dishes are Buffalo wings and the Cajun chicken burger, but once the customers try the beef they change their mind. The most popular beef burger is the Jairo burger, which is a mixture of lamb and cow meat, said Mohammed Hamdy, the supervisor.
My personal recommendations are the burger sliders, which consist of three mini burgers. While they are small, the sliders are filling. You have a choice of slider types, and I chose Cajun burger, Italian pizza burger and Virginia turkey burger. As for drinks, I liked the mocha frappe, with its thick chocolate taste.
